"Originally a Biology teacher and then Nutritionist, I now mostly dedicate my time to teaching Nia, as well as my love of drawing and painting, walking my dog in Nature and enjoying my grandchildren.
I have always been interested in the human body, health and wellbeing, leading me along a route to a B.Sc degree in Physiology and Biochemistry, then a Masters in Nutrition, with a short spell at Oxford University in Medical Research. Eventually these experiences culminated in writing a book called Eat Dance Shine where I share all the research, discoveries and choices I have made about how to stay well, gain energy and push back the years!
As a child I loved to FreeDance even though I didn’t call it that then! In my late teens and early twenties I spent many hours a week dancing.
When I discovered Nia at the age of 49 after having 3 children, I was so delighted to have found a sustainable way to look after my body, emotions, mind and spirit.
I have been teaching Nia solidly for 17 years and have intentions to continue dancing and playing on the floor well into my 90’s."
