I love the color of orange.
Among many things, I associate the color with:
Pumpkin. Yes! I love it in “everything”: (coffee, creami, air fryer, Joe’s soup)
Sunrises (gives me daily hope)
Autumn/Fall (leaves turning, beautiful transformation and reminder of the seasons)
Our daughter’s birthday
Cooler temperatures, bring some of the “best weather days” of the year at Soma
I did a little research around the meaning orange and loved what I found:
Orange is a vibrant and lively color that combines the energetic qualities of red and the cheerful essence of yellow, often associated with warmth and enthusiasm. This dynamic hue evokes a sense of creativity and adventure, making it a popular choice in various design and branding applications. Frequently seen in nature, orange can be found in beautiful sunsets, colorful autumn leaves, and a variety of enticing fruits, all of which contribute to a sense of vitality and freshness. In the realms of art and fashion, this striking color can convey boldness and a desire to stand out, while simultaneously promoting a comforting and approachable atmosphere. Its remarkable versatility allows it to be used effectively in both contemporary and traditional contexts, appealing to a wide audience.
The color orange also represents, and is the vibration of, the 2nd chakra, known as the Sacral chakra. This chakra is located in the lower abdomen, just below the navel, and is associated with emotions, creativity, and sensuality. Orange embodies the essence of joy and warmth, promoting feelings of enthusiasm and optimism. It encourages the exploration of personal desires and the expression of emotions, fostering connections with others. An open Sacral chakra enhances creativity and the ability to experience pleasure in life, while balancing this energy center can lead to greater emotional stability and healthy relationships.
What a perfect color for the month of October, AND our challenge focus of Upper Extremities and Expression. We hope you will consider joining us.
