While Helen is in Vegas running the 1/2 marathon for St Jude, the wonderful rock star teaching team have been providing excellent classes. What a gift to have a fabulous team of somatic educators who are generous with their wisdom, expertise and hearts.

FOCUS: Loving our feet

INTENT: Linger in awe of our feet & all they can do

COMMENTS: Taking time to sink into our feet from a seated position. Let's focus on how different the heel lead, whole foot, ball of foot can feel from a chair. Spread your toes, check in with each joint. Celebrate the 7000 nerve endings in the bottom of each foot! Challenge your brain to play with same hand same foot, then opposite hand opposite foot throughout the class. Have FUN!

FOCUS: Sensing the details

INTENT: Opening the chest and improving balance and optimism

Typical results from this lesson are increased capacity to take a full breath, a more open chest, being stabler on each foot and feeling more sense of possibilities. Fun discussions at the end about experimenting with driving positions and learning how to learn.
