“Look UP” is a movement experience created by Helen Terry to the fabulous music of Lauren Daigle, the “look up child” album.
Helen first played with this music, in a class, in Budapest, October 2018. Like many great things, this experience has evolved over time.
We would love for you to join in the experience this Sunday, February 5th, 10am. Class is available IN PERSON at Soma Ranch, ONLINE via zoom and 24HR Replay REQUEST.
This is a donation class, all funds go to our annual fundraiser for St Jude.
Please enjoy the play list, as you’ll see I’ve added several Eva Casidy songs at the end. And a curious version of“Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Diana Krall. Both these artist have a similar quality to Lauren. I like what they bring to the mix and “take it home” (over the rainbow) . With a playlist of 20 songs, 90 mins, of music, there’s great choices for how to end of class according to the mood of teacher and group.
The opportunity for Lauren Daigle to see how we dance, move, sing and praise to her music is a big dream. How will Lauren feel when she sees wonderful ladies, around the world, dancing their body, mind, heart and soul to her music?
MORE INFORMATION:
“Look Up” began as a “blue monkey play class”:
Music unheard,
Moves unprepared,
Improvise in the moment.
When all else fails call out FreeDance!
These kinds of classes can be “hit of miss”, participants are encouraged to laugh with or at me (the teacher) and either way have a grand time.
Participants seem to find pleasure witnessing a teacher lead from such a RAW place and enjoy being part of the creative process. How great to celebrate being human, and having fun, together.
